The Karma Revero, a luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, has been named Green Car Journal’s 2018 “Luxury Green Car of the Year” at the Washington Auto Show.
The vehicle’s combination of iconic design and innovative electric plug-in hybrid drive technology contributed to the judges’ decision to choose the Karma Revero as the winner. Finalists for the competition included the BMW 530e, Cadillac CT6 Plug-In, Lexus LS 500H and Porsche Panamera 4 E- Hybrid.

“Karma’s Revero stands out among its premium-class competitors, generating more attention than any model we have ever tested,” said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal and Green Car Journal.com. “It also generates its own electricity, supplementing on-board batteries and delivering 50 fun-filled miles of zero-emission driving, with a total electric range of about 300 miles. There is no range anxiety experienced in our deserving 2018 Luxury Green Car of the Year™.”
“We are honored to receive this award from Green Car Journal,” said Ken Stewart, Karma Automotive Chief Strategy Officer. “Building a successful luxury car company is a monumental task, and this award confirms we are on the right path. The luxury buyer has an exciting new choice that offers exclusivity, touring performance, a stunning cabin and head-turning design. The Revero is the first of several models that will be introduced by Karma in the coming years.”
“Karma is a low-volume, premium car company committed to building a reputation for unparalleled customer service and engagement,” said Jim Taylor, Karma Automotive Chief Revenue Officer. Our passion is building cars that are as beautiful as they are technologically advanced. We have the full backing of an ownership group with the resources and patience needed to build a luxury car company capable of delivering the advanced technology, premium materials, and performance that today’s luxury buyer demands.”
