Making its entry in Nepal, Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Piaggio has launched Vespa VX and Vespa S through its Indian subsidiary company in Nepal.
While the Vespa VX is priced at NPR 2,49,946, the Vespa S will cost NPR 2,63,946. D-Lifestyles will be the official dealer for Vespa in the country.
Piaggio Vespa, which entered India back in 2012, builds the scooter and three and four-wheeled commercial vehicles at its plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.
Vespa VX and S both draw their power from a 125cc three-valved engine with auto ignition. They come with features like disc brake, tubeless tyres, enhanced style quotient and single piece monocoque steel body.
The Vespa VX comes in five color variants – Lime Yellow, Portovenere Green, Midnight Blue, Monte Bianco White and Dragon Red.
While, the Vespa S color variants include Taormina Orange, Dragon Red, Matt Black and Mono Bianco White.
“This event is mostly important for the Piaggio Group that is very focused on this part of Asia in its globalization strategies,” Managing Director at Piaggio India – Stefano Pelle said.
“The youth here has a great fashion sense of their own, which is why we think that Vespa will fit impeccably as a brand. We are certain that Vespa will allure the youth with its unmistakable style and Italian charm,” he added.
