Hours after Dan Wheldon, a 16-time IndyCar race winner, died after receiving serious injuries in a bizarre 15-car wreck, another sad news has surfaced. Off-road racing champion Rich Huseman and two others were killed when the small aircraft in which they were travelling in crashed in California.
Huseman’s brother Jeff and another passenger were the other two killed in the crash. They were returning from Las Vegas to Corona, California, when the plane crashed near the Barsow-Daggett Airport while trying to make an emergency landing, CNN reported.
38-year-old Huseman was recently honored with the 2010 Driver of the Year award.
Well, we send our condolences to Huseman’s and Wheldon’s family and friends.
