Indian Motorcycles, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries, will outsell the same company’s other brand Victory in 2014, UBS Investment Research analyst Robin M. Farley has predicted, powersportsbusiness reports.
If what Mr Farley has predicted turns out to be true, Indian will sell out over 15,000 units this year.
Victory offers as many as 15 models, while Indian produces just three motorcycles. The two brands cater to customers of different tastes.
If these two shake hands in terms of sales, they might give tough time to the MoCo.
If both the brands are extremely successful, Polaris could even give Harley-Davidson a a run for their money and can give them a stiff competition in the cruiser market.
According to Farley, Polaris will also launch the Slingshot, their reverse trike with a GM 2.4L Ecotec engine to rival KTM, Campagna and Can-Am.
