The official service training manual of the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 has been leaked online and has revealed the detailed specifications of both the bikes months ahead of its launch.
Though the bikes were officially unveiled and have been spotted several times during the testing phase, their specifications were still a mystery.
Both bikes will get the first modern Royal Enfield 650 twin engine, which is a single overhead cam, 8 valve, air/oil-cooled, 648cc parallel twin, churning out 47bhp and 52Nm.
The engine delivers a strong low and mid-range performance and retains the Royal Enfield character of accessible torque through the rev range.
Both the bikes will get the six-speed gearbox, augmented by its ‘slip/assist’ clutch that facilitates easy riding in traffic with a light feel and prevents wheel-hop when downshifting gears.
