A new Guinness World Record has been set for the longest trip on an electric motorcycle. The record has been set by Philadelphia journalist Thomas Tomczyk, who has already ridden more than 12,000 km (7,458 miles) on the bike.
Though the record has been created, Thomas doesn’t want to put a full stop on the journey as of now.
Thomas has set an end point, Patagonia region in southern Argentina and is planning to reach this destination. For this, he needs to travel around 6,000 km (3,730 miles) more.
Well talking about the bike, it is a 2012 Zero S machine. Thomas is riding at a pace of 300 km (186 miles) a day and the biggest challenge is the recharging it. He is charging the bike at museums, coffee shops and even private houses of people.
Worst that he is facing at times is he is running out of batteries and has to drag and push the bike till he finds a charging point.
Way to go, Thomas Tomczyk! Congrats and good luck!
