Keeping the two in mind we shortlisted cars with best NHTSA and IIHS safety rating and assessment. However NHTSA and IIHs rating may not be always correct.

Acura RDX is a compact SUV and it has received best ratings in the several crash tests conducted by the IIHS. It seats up to five people and can be bought at $35,370. It offers an optional all-wheel-drive system.
RAV4 is a compact SUV which has achieved the best rating in IIHS crash tests and for its front crash protected system it has gained a “Superior” assessment. It comes in both FWD and AWD versions, and for the ones in search of more MPG, this one offers a hybrid powertrain as well. It can seat up to five people and starts at $24,350.
Pilot has acquired a “Superior” rating for its front crash prevention technology, “Good” crash test results, and an “Acceptable” one for the usefulness of its child seat anchors. It features a 3.5-liter V6 engine as standard and starts at a price of $30,145. It can accommodate up to eight people.
